2015 Pace For Petey
I am overwhelmed by the turnout of A Pace for Petey yesterday! We had 150 entrants and the most amazing volunteers! I don't even know how to thank everyone for their support! But THANK YOU! (Even though that doesn't seem like nearly enough.) Everything seemed to run perfectly, from the beginning at 5:00am with set up, clear up to after the awards when the three heart balloons (leaving 7 round ones) magically drifted up to heaven from Pete's grave. I believe he was showing his approval. Thank you everyone! I Love you all!! heart emoticon heart emoticon heart emoticon I'm looking forward to next race--September 24, 2022--save the date!
A Pace for Petey
This is our seventh annual 5k, September 24, 2022, to bring about awareness to overdose and drug addiction. It is in honor of Jordan "Petey" Scribner, who at the young age of 20, lost his battle of addiction to a tragic heroin overdose on February 17, 2014. It will begin in the south parking lot of Tuscola High school, close to his final resting place, and end with a lap on the track, where he participated in numerous track meets, and circling the TCHS football field, where he played many, many football games.
Thank you!
